Valentine's Day Outfit Idea

Tuesday, January 31, 2017
Hello Everybody! Today I wanted to share a really cute Valentine's Day outfit idea! I will personally probably be spending my Valentine's Day eating cheeots and watching netflix, but I thought this would be cute for any night out.  ;)
I absolutely love the color of this dress, and I thought the black tights and black booties really dressed it up.

My Favorite Liquid Lipsticks

Sunday, January 29, 2017
The struggle of finding a good, affordable liquid lipstick is real! I'm super picky about what I put on my lips because they dry out so easily. After trying countless brands and formulas, these three would have to be my favorite!

1. NYX Liquid Suede

I really like the formula of this one. It kinda has a "mousse" finish which I love! It doesn't dry down completely matte on me, but I actually kind of prefer that in a lipstick. I have always loved NYX lip products, and this one has to be one of my favorites!

2. Colourpop Ultra Matte Lipstick

The color range is unreal. There is definitely a color for everyone. They hold up ridiculously well, and six dollars is a steal for a good liquid lipstick. The only downside is that they are a little bit drying, but that's expected with any liquid lipstick. I have to reapply this one often but it's still amazing!

3. Wet N' Wild Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick

These from Wet N' Wild are brand new and everyone has been raving about them (they're only $4.99). They were all sold out at my local drugstores so I had to order mine online! I must say, now I know why everyone is so obsessed with these. This has easily become my new favorite lipstick. It's super long wearing, dries down completely matte, and they're not over drying - even on dry lips like mine! I will definitely be repurchasing these in more shades.

Winter OOTD

Tuesday, January 17, 2017
Hey ya'll! I'm so excited because this is my first day posting on here in 2017! I know I'm a little late, but I spent a few weeks trying to stay off of social media as much as possible to refresh my mind and really think about the direction I wanted my blog to go in. I gave the look of my blog a much needed face-lift and I can't wait to share all of the new & exciting things I have coming up!
I linked all of my outfit details down below.

How To Stay Motivated This Winter

For the most part, I'm a pretty motivated person and always up to try something new. But when Winter comes around, it seems like the motivation is sucked right out of me. I get most of my inspiration from being outdoors and from bright colors and warm weather. So it's so easy for me to fall into a rut during the Winter season!
I know I'm not alone in this, and that a lot of people struggle with staying motivated when the cold weather just makes you want to stay inside all day and watch netflix and eat hot cheetos. (just me? oh). So I have come up with a few tips for you guys that always seem to help me get out of a rut and keep me inspired.

1. Change up your workspace
Change is good. When you spend a lot of time at your desk or in your office, changing things up will always help your creativity flow.  Doing something as simple as stringing up some lights around your desk and adding a few new decor pieces really makes a difference!

2. Make a routine
Making a daily routine is crucial for me because it helps me know exactly what needs to get accomplished that day and keeps me being productive. Plus, checking things off of a list is so satisfying! My favorite way to plan out my weeks is on a daily life planner. I got this one from TJ Maxx on sale for only $10.00 (steal). I will link some of my favorite planners down below.

3. Try something new
This one is simple, yet so effective! It's important to always be trying new things if you want to get out of a rut. It could be as simple as reading a new book, trying new recipes, or picking up a new hobby. The possibilities are endless! One of my favorite books lately is Celebrate by Lauren Conrad . It's packed full of pretty things and inspiration.

4. Exercise
I cannot stress enough how important it is to exercise. Joining a gym is worth it in the Winter because you can't be as active outside, but it's not necessary. Just doing daily exercises in your room is just as effective. Exercising is definitely my biggest stress reliever.

5. Remember that feeling stuck/being in a rut can be a gift in disguise
I've had times of total frustration in my life when I wasn't where I wanted to be, had no motivation, and felt completely lost. Recognizing this + using some of these tools to get out of that rut brought me to a whole new phase of my life. Looking back, I realize that being in those ruts helped my motivation become even stronger which helped me to transition and grow.
I hope these tricks help you too. Thanks for reading, friends!
