I highly recommend that you go check out Blooms & Linen Boutique . They have beautiful clothing, I wish I could buy everything! You can also use promo code "kristenrose30" for 30% off! I will link my dress below along with another favorite of mine.

Desk Make-Over

Wednesday, February 15, 2017

Hey ya'll! I recently gave my desk a little make over and wanted to share it with you guys. I picked this desk up last year at a local thrift store for $7.00 and it has been my favorite part of my room ever since then. I don't know what I would do without it!  But I wanted to change things up a little so I ended up just painting the desk this really pretty off white color and using some old decor that I already had. The only exception was me buying the blanket and it only cost $20.00! Almost all of my decor was on sale, hand made, or thrifted. I love the fact that you can completely transform a space and make it your own at such an affordable price!

The Meaning Of Modesty

Friday, February 10, 2017
Here lately I've been thinking about the topic of modesty and what being modest means to God, to myself, and to others. Growing up in a conservative Christian home/church/school, modesty was taught more as a standard to live up to rather than something to actually honor God with. I remember getting in trouble at school if my skirt was a quarter inch too short, and hearing the horror stories of preachers asking ladies to leave the church because their shoulders were showing. There was a point in my high school years when I felt so shameful for wearing jeans, that I stopped wearing them altogether and wore skirts and long shorts because that was the accepted standard. Sounds crazy, right??! Crazy and far from the true meaning of Christianity. I'm in no way trying to bash anyone, but something just doesn't add up.

Now that I'm older, I realize that modesty is SO much more than a standard to live up to and a rule to follow. Don't get me wrong, I think we should always dress respectfully & intentionally, but I don't think of modesty as "Your skirt has to be this length" or "Your dress has to look like this". It's more like a condition of the heart.

Maybe you wear super long ankle length skirts because you feel like it's your conviction. Maybe you have never put a skirt or dress on in your entire life because you simply don't like them. Whatever the case, I don't think we should ever judge another person because their idea or conviction of modesty is different than your own.

Let's stop judging, and work on the condition of our hearts. The way we dress will follow.

"Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it."
-Proverbs 4:23

My Favorite Christian Bloggers

Monday, February 6, 2017

I don't know about you, but I'm always on the lookout for a new Christian blogger. I have rounded up four of my favorites to share with ya'll, in hopes of you loving them too!

She is Captivating

Amanda Marie is a beautiful writer that always leaves me in tears (the good kind)! She's passionate about helping women who love Jesus and each other and that's so inspiring to me. Plus, her instagram feed is bomb!

Modest Goddess

I love Emily's blog and instagram feed because she helps women with modesty tips and tricks. Dressing modestly (and still cute) can often be a challenge and I love her heart to help us out!

Courtney Toliver

When I came across Courtney's page about a month ago, I immediately fell in love with her feed. She's a natural beauty with such a classy timeless style and her love for God is evident in her posts. She has become a top fashion blogger on my list, and I know you will love her too!

Soul Scripts

I'm sure a lot of you have heard of Jordan Lee, because her amazing content doesn't go easily unnoticed. I love her blog and way of writing because she is so real. She talks about the stuff we as Christians go through that we may be too ashamed to even mention. And she reminds us that we are loved and worth so much more. Her devotionals are great too! I highly recommend.

I hope you all enjoyed this post and make sure you go give these women a follow!
Thanks for reading, friends!

Blush Pink Photoshoot

Sunday, February 5, 2017

Rose gold and blush pink seem to be a huge trend going into this Spring season. I'm not complaining, considering pink has always been a favorite of mine. I really have been loving rose gold hair, but I am too much of a chicken to ever dye my hair that color. So I decided to just run some rose color hair dye through my old extensions and I surprisingly love how they turned out! I was so afraid that I would ruin them!
I got this super cute off-the-shoulder top at Marshall's and this maxi skirt is an old basic that I've had for years. I will link my outfit below if I can find the links.

My brother had the idea of using the flower crown, and he made this one himself. His photography skills aren't too shabby either!
