March Favorites

The Target dollar section never fails to let me down. I have been obsessed with cute stationary lately!

Two books that I have really been loving this month are "Live Love Lead" by Brian Houston and "Permission to Speak Freely" by Anne Jackson. Permission to speak freely is actually not a very well known book, I came across it in a used book store and decided to pick it up, and I'm so glad I did. This book pieces together Anne's story along with poems, stories, and personal insights from people around the world related to the topic of living life with no secrets and speaking freely in the church.  Anne shares her own struggles and writes about the tension between brokenness and holiness, cutting through Christian's polite mask's of "everything's fine" and into the secret shames we hide. She explores if faith and real life can coexist, whether any secret is too shameful to confess, and most of all, if it's really possible (and okay) to be a human in church today. I highly recommend the book to any Christian that has ever struggled within the church.

Two of my favorite make-up products this month are the Baby Skin Primer  and the Maybelline loose setting powder , they help keep my makeup matte and in place all day!

Wispy eyelashes have been my go to this month!

I have been loving these fake clear nails from Kiss. They are really inexpensive and look great! I just paint them with one of my favorite nail polishes and I'm good to go.

I started taking L-Lysine for my acne last month and it has worked wonders for my skin. I take one tablet in the morning and one at night. I highly recommend for anyone wanting to improve hormonal acne!

Making A Vision Board

I have been so inspired by vision boards lately. I have a lot of goals and things I want to do with the remainder of 2017, and I love the idea of making a board to help me visualize those goals and remind me to work toward them everyday. There are so many ways to make a vision board! You could make one on a poster board to hang in your room, in a journal for only you to see, or you can make an online version like me. I chose to do the online version so I could set it as my laptop and phone background because I look at those two way more often than I should!

 1. The first step of creating an online vision board is finding a template. I made mine on BeFunky and it was totally free! They have tons of cute templates to choose from.

 2. The second step is to make a list of all of the goals and plans you have for the year. Some of my goals were to learn how to play the piano again, eat healthier, grow sunflowers, go to Cosmetology school, spend more time outdoors, and grow in my walk with the Lord. Don't be afraid to be specific!

 3. The last step is to choose pictures that inspire you or reflect your goals. I got mine off of Pinterest, and I love how everything turned out!

Considering I am such a visual person, having a vision board has helped me tremendously! It inspires me, keeps me motivated, and reminds me exactly what I'm working toward.
Let me know if you have made a vision board of your own, I would love to see it or hear some of your ideas!

Faith Like This

I love these tees for their cute design and ridiculous softness, but I love them even more for the meaning behind each one. At the bottom of this one you find the words Sinapsis Alba, which means mustard seed. In Luke 17, Jesus' disciples asked him to increase their faith, and he responded with:
"If you had faith like a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it would obey you."

This passage of scripture never fails to amaze me. I don't know about you, but keeping faith though-out life and through-out difficulties in life is something I struggle with. Sometimes my faith seems to literally be the size of a mustard seed on some of my weakest days, but I love how Jesus reassures us  that even faith so small can do amazing things. It can do the unthinkable, the impossible. The smallest amount of true faith in the one true object of faith - Jesus Christ - is all we need.

You can find this tee along with some other cute positive Christian tees on Sol Harvest Co's Website !

Spring Dress & New Hair Extensions

Hey ya'll! Today's outfit post is simple but it has become one of my favorite dresses. I have been loving the off-the-shoulder trend, and when I saw this one in Marshalls, I couldn't pass it up. It was super affordable too! It was around $20.00.
I decided to style it with some of my old favorite sandals and these new hair extensions. As some of you may have noticed, I chopped my hair off about two weeks ago. I do love my shorter hair, but sometimes I just miss my long curls. Barely Extensions was kind enough to send me these extensions and I honestly love them! They are definitely the softest extensions I have ever owned and the color blends perfectly with my hair. You can pick these extensions up on Barely Extensions website or at Sally's beauty supply!
