How To Make Extra Holiday Cash

"It's the most wonderful time of the year."
Christmas is the happiest time of the year but it can also be the most expensive. I was talking with Matt recently about how much money we spent on gifts last year and it was UNREAL. Having a big family and a desire to buy them great gifts is a struggle, but it doesn't have to be.
Today I want to share some tips on how to make some extra cash for the Holidays. I have personally used all of these methods and they really work! This post is not sponsored.

My biggest tip and the one I use most frequently is selling on Poshmark. Clean out your closet and sell your unwanted items! Poshmark takes a very small portion of your earnings but they provide you with a free shipping label. All you have to do is tape the label on and mail it at your local post office.
What to do if you don't have many clothes to sell? I personally like to go to thrift stores and search for name brand items to sell for a profit. I have made a lot of money that way! I plan on doing a more in depth post soon on how I make money on Poshmark. It's definitely a good way to bring in some extra cash to spend during the Holidays.

Another good way to make some extra cash is to sell handmade products either locally or online. I personally hand make bath bombs and bath salts and sell them online on apps like Poshmark, Etsy, and Mercari. It's something I enjoy doing and make a small profit from.
Choose something you enjoy doing whether that be painting, baking, or making candles and bath products. There is an endless amount of things to pursue.

Look into survey sites like MyPoints and and Zap Surveys. You take surveys to earn a small portion of money that adds up over time. It's definitely not a "get rich quick" opportunity by any means, but if you stay persistent you can earn a few extra bucks. It's nice to do these when you are trying to pass time.

I like using the app Dote when I'm Christmas shopping online. It gives you the highest discount on items and they usually offer free shipping when you spend a certain amount of money. They claim to be like an "online mall" and I would agree. There's a lot of stores to choose from and everything is super easy to navigate. So if you're shopping online and want to save some money, I recommend checking them out.
