How To Be Productive While Working From Home

Monday, January 28, 2019
Working from home can be very challenging. You are obviously in your own home and there are so many other things that you can do such as laundry, playing with your pets, or eating non-stop (ha!). Ignoring all of these distractions can be very challenging, but it is possible - you just have to create a in-depth plan on how to be productive. If you are not sure where to start when it comes to this, I’ve got you! Keep reading to find out how to be productive while working from home - I promise that it is possible!
Have a plan
The first step is to have a plan and to take that plan to help you list out your priorities. Know what you need to get done that week (or month) and create a game plan. List out all due dates and shoot to have them completed a week before the due date. That way, you are not rushing around at the last minute to have everything wrapped up. Each week, I recommend down your must-do’s, your hope-to-do’s, and your appointments. Schedule in your must-do’s when you are the most productive and then your hope-to-do’s at your second most productive point in your day(s)/week. This way, each day you do not have to waste time figuring out what you need to do because it is all laid out for you. This allows you to jump into your work first thing in the morning, which will allow you to get more work done.

Becoming Your Best Self in 2019

I know I have said this a few times now, but honestly - how is 2019 already here and how is January almost finished already? Time really is flying by in the blink of an eye, but I’m not complaining because that means I’m having fun with it. I will admit though - 2018 was not *the* best year that it could have been. A lot of the time, we set out intentions and goals and by March, we forget about them. This was a bit how my past years have been - I haven’t really stuck to any long-term resolutions because I have always shot way out of reach.
What I mean by that is that in the past, I have not set the easiest goals. For example, if you set a goal to lose 30 pounds by February, you will most likely fail. If you set a goal to work out every single day in 2019, although you have good intentions, you will probably end up failing. The way to set goals that are achievable is to set attainable goals.
That’s why this year, I want to create my best self. I’m not setting anything in stone, as long as everything I do helps me reach my goal of becoming my best self in 2019. Easy enough, don’t you think? Here are a few ways that I am becoming my best self this year:
Like I mentioned, I am not setting any goals that are unreachable for me, so I do not really have a set number of times per week that I need to work out. All I know is that I want to start making exercise even more of a priority in my life. I want to not only start working out more, but I also want to find what I love the most. There are so many programs out there and I truly believe that there is something for everyone, no matter how much you love or dislike working out. From hot yoga to pilates, weight lifting, HIIT training, and cardio, there is so much to explore and I am in it for the long run this year!

Breaking Past Fears in 2019

Monday, January 14, 2019

Fear is a natural part of growth and development and sometimes, fear is necessary because it prevents us from doing things that are indeed, not too smart. But, most of the time, fear only holds us back from potential opportunities that appear in our daily lives.

Fear is different for everyone - maybe it is not being good enough, fear of trying something new, not knowing what to expect, or even fear of being rejected. No matter what it is, I understand that it can be very scary to break fast your fears, but if you do break fast them, you will start to see with a new set of eyes.

Sure, you are not perfect, but is anyone perfect? There are times when you will definitely mess up, but those are just learning experiences and they will only make you better. The worst thing that you can do for yourself is to allow fear to rule your life. Do not let fear get in the way of accomplishing your goals and dreams.

I spoke with a friend the other day who actually told me the story of her overcoming her fears. She broke past her fears, put herself out there in the world, and you know what happened? She succeeded (most of the time). She learned new things, she became more confident, and she now feels like she is capable of anything. I want this for all of you because when it comes down to it, you are capable of anything, as long as you put your mind to it.

So, how do we start with breaking past fears in 2019? Here are a few tips:

Cute Workout Wear For The New Year

Thursday, January 3, 2019

I think we can all relate when we say that our new year resolution is to get in shape. I say it every year - and I hope that I actually stick with it this time! I don't know about you, but cute workout wear always makes me 100 times more likely to hit the gym! These leggings from K. Ellis Boutique are so cute. They are high waisted - which I love - because it makes me feel like everything is supported and sucked in. The color and pattern is adorable and would look great with a solid top and a pop of color in your running shoe.

Decluttering For The New Year

2019 is here and I am ready for a fresh, clean slate. To me, this starts with my home, the space that I spend the bulk majority of my time throughout the entire year. If I had to guess, I am sure that you have things piling up around your house. Maybe you got a bunch of Christmas presents that you didn’t want or need, or maybe you have way too many clothes now that you got some for Christmas (or just throughout the year). No matter why your house is full, it’s time to focus on decluttering it.

Starting the New Year off with a decluttered home is the best feeling in the world, but if you don’t know where to start, it can be very challenging and frustrating. A lot of people start decluttering and then quit halfway through because they just cannot figure out what to do with their items. If that sounds like you, keep reading along because I’m here to help you start and finish your decluttering session! Here we go:
