Grow As We Go

My struggle with perfectionism has be present through out my life as long as I can remember. It wasn't until recently that I realized how unattainable it really is. Of course I never ACTUALLY thought life could be perfect, but part of me wanted it so desperately and the thought consumed me. Starting my business has made me realize a lot of things.

1. It's good to have goals, but don't let them consume you. If you don't make as many sales as you projected, it's not the end of the world. If people aren't seeing your vision the way you desperately wanted them to, don't give up.

2. Giving up is not an option. Nothing comes over night. In today's society, we all want instant gratification. When results don't happen fast, we want to give up. I know because I have been there. There have been so many times I wanted to give up, but keep going because I know things will get better.

3. Put in the work. You will only see progress if you show up and put in the work. You can't expect anything to grow in life without nurturing it first. You have to plant the seed, water it daily, take care of it, and watch it grow day by day. It's a process, but the end result is so beautiful!

Keeping these three things in mind has been what keeps me going when I want to give up. This not only applies to business, but to life. In order to succeed, we have to realize that growth does not happen overnight. True relationships do not just appear, they are nurtured and they grow with time. You can't eat healthy one time and have a healthy body, but daily steps in the right direction get you where you want to be.
